No School Monday, September 6th in celebration of the Labor Day Holiday. School will resume on Tuesday, September 7th.
Wednesday, August 25th is the first day of school. School will be dismissed at the regular Wednesday time of 1:50pm.
Kindergarteners will be released at 11:30am for the first three days of school.
Tuesday, June 15th is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. Bag lunches will be provided.

During the month of May all students in grades 3-9 are required to take the state test called the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC). Click here for an informational letter and state assessment calendar.

It’s here! The 2021-2022 school year calendar was approved at the April 6th Board Meeting. The 2021-2022 calendar assumes a return to full in-person instruction, with the first day of school for students scheduled for August 25. The earliest last day for students is scheduled for June 8, dependent on school closures for Snow Days, etc.
We will once again honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by attending school for a half-day on MLK Day, using the instruction time to explore Dr. King’s life and legacy before encouraging our students to leave our schools and serve the community in the afternoon.
No school the week of April 19 – 23. SA will be on spring break!
We are getting ready for SBAC testing in May. Students in grades 3-5 take the SBAC assessment. Parents who would like to learn more about the SBAC are invited to join us on Tuesday morning from 9-10am for a virtual chat with Ms. Betsy and Ms. Oropeza.
The fifth graders at SA have developed a way to give SA families free, local, organic food. It is called The Peace Packs.
The Peace Packs are an amazing free meal kit organized by the SA 5th graders that gives out delicious food. To get a meal kit, you have to sign up by filling out the google form. Sign up will be open from Wednesday, March 10th till Monday, March 15th at 6pm. The recipe offered this time will be vegetarian samosas. In the kit, you will get a recipe and the food needed to prepare it. At this time, only one kit per student can be ordered. Meal kits will be delivered to student’s classrooms on Thursday, March 25th.

Scheduling for our March Parent Teacher Conferences has begun. Students will be released from school at 11:30am on March 18th. Conferences times will begin at noon on March 18th and all day on March 19th.
